Mooch, Birmingham – Review by HungryOwl
On August 12, 2017 by HungryOwlMooch is a large pub on Broad Street, Birmingham. It is always busy with people watching football and I have never experienced anything but a wonderful atmosphere.
Since we had been in Birmingham Bear Hunting ( http://thebigsleuth.co.uk/ ) a trail that had been created to raise fund for the fabulous Birmingham\’s Children\’s Hospital and it was the Charity Shield – Arsenal V Chelsea – Mooch was an obvious choice for Sunday Lunch and to watch the game.
We ordered Loaded Nachos to share for starters and each of us had the spit-roast chicken, chips and curry sauce (£10 for 2). The starters and mains arrived together, which was odd. So we decided to eat the mains and save the Nachos to nibble on through the game.
The breast of the chicken was very dry and the skin was black, but the rest was ok, the chips and curry sauce were lovely. The Nachos would have been perfect if we had eaten them when they arrived, but some had gone soggy by the time we started munching.
Drinks here are reasonably priced too.
The whole experience was topped by Arsenal winning too 😉
