So Pie, Gloucester Quays – Review by HungryOwl
On July 27, 2018 by HungryOwlI recently found myself with a friend looking for a fabulous place to have lunch in Gloucester Quays. To be honest you are spoiled for choice here with lots of eateries ranging from chains such as Carluccio’s, Nandos, TGI’s etc. to the smaller independents. My friend and I decided to try one of the local restaurants which coincidentally have a special lunchtime menu.
For £9.95 we could have a main and dessert. Drinks were reasonably priced and we settled for cola.
My friend ordered the Beef and Stilton pie, which was crammed with meat and beautiful golden brown. I must say it smelt amazing and he ate the lot almost licking the plate clean. He followed this with the Eaton Mess Cheesecake (I think) to be honest it was demolished so quickly he could have been given an empty plate!!! I think it was fair to say he enjoyed the food.
Well it was a hot day so I settle for the Quiche Lorraine with Salad. It was a massive piece of quiche and really nice. The salad was fresh and crunchy, with a delightful balsamic dressing. To follow I indulged and slowly savored a Lemon Meringue pie.
The food was amazing and far too much for lunch. The price was exceptionally reasonable for the quality too.
I have had to promise FattyCat that we will visit soon.
They don’t have a website at present but they have Facebook
