The Rajkot, Worcester – Review by HungryOwl
On November 25, 2022 by HungryOwlThe Rajkot has been in Worcester for many years and rarely have I seen any reviews. So, this was what I based my decision on when looking for somewhere in Worcester for a curry.
The restaurant is on the busy A38 opposite the ok Kays building and hence very easy to get to, but not a lot of options for parking close by.
As we entered the restaurant we were greeting by 3 men, who were all very friendly, but is did feel a bit overkill.
We were shown to our table and presented with the menus – the waiter asked if we had any allergies, which I think is always a good sign.
Starters – well we stuck to our old favourites, always good to compare. Sheek Kebab for FattyCat and Onion Bharjee for me. They were both beautifully presented and packed the right amount of flavour.
Mains – FattyCat had Chicken Balti and I ordered a a King Prawn ‘something’ (I absolutely cannot remember what, usually I would have a King Prawn Masala, but this isn’t on the menu). What is really annoying about not remembering the name of the curry I had, is that it is probably the best curry I have eaten.
We both had a garlic naan bread with out curries – I have an intolerance to Rice, so although it was served with dish I didn’t eat much of it, just enough to try and say that it was perfect.
Unfortunately, we were so distracted by the awesome smells of the food we forgot to take pictures, but I have linked to their gallery page above.
My only small gripe is that I don’t need 3 separate waiters asking if I am enjoying my food.
Prices seemed very reasonable and the Rose table wine was very drinkable.
