The Restaurant @ Webbs of Wychbold – Review by HungryOwl
On April 21, 2018 by HungryOwlHaving been back in Worcester in a year, I felt it was time to take ownership of the garden and literally start to put down some roots. FattyCat suggested a trip to Webbs and believe me I wasn’t going to turn down that suggestion.
I already had a shopping list of shrubs and plants; but I did make him promise to keep me away from HobbyCraft and Lakeland. Having lived near Webbs for nearly fifteen years I knew how you could easily loose a day and your bank balance in the various stores onsite, before you had even looked at a plant.
We arrived on Sunday morning at 10am as they opened (tills open at 10:30am) and due to his generous offer of accompanying me to a garden center I offered breakfast. I don’t think he expected quality, saying that the food was pricey compared to Morrison’s cafe.
I had scrambled eggs and toast. Perfectly cooked and no watery deposit from the eggs. FattyCat had a full English he was really impressed with the quality of sausages, which he insisted to tried. They were meaty and perfectly seasoned. He also ‘forced’ some wonderful black pudding on my plate.
The food was so good that I only remembered to take a photo after I had finished eating. The tea was fabulous too and you can buy it from the store in bright yellow boxes from the Brew Tea Company.
Thank you Webbs for truly enjoyable breakfast.
Before I forget …….yes, I bought a small fortune of plants & shrubs too
