The White Hart, Hartlebury – Review by Hungry Owl
On January 13, 2024 by HungryOwlA cold wintry night we ventured out of Worcester to the little village of Hartlebury, to hopefully enjoy a meal at The White Hart.
The pub was snug and warm in the bar, there were lots of people having a drink and chatting – it was a lovely atmosphere to walk into.
We were shown through to a second room which was the restaurant – this also had cosy decor and comfy seating.
Wine. We ordered a bottle of Appassimento from Puglia, Italy. I was a very pretty bottle and a nice red wine to drink.
Food. – Fatty Cat had the burger with onion rings, fries and salad. He said that the burger was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I must admit I did nick a chip and it was great.
I ordered slow cooked lamb with swede and sweet potato mash and veg, topped with a few parsnip crisps. It was a massive portion, but it was really really moorish. I was the perfect dish for the winter evening.
Service was friendly and not overbearing. We will definitely be returning.
