Weston-Super-Mare Food Festival 2018 – Review by HungryOwl
On April 21, 2018 by HungryOwlThe weather forecast was a mixed bag, but we decided to brave the elements and take a day out at the seaside, especially as there was a food festival promising loads of local producers.
The website promised lots of local producers offering their lovingly made or grown food and drink.
If there were other stalls selling produce they were well hidden away and the festival organizers need to do better with signage to get travels to see all the stalls.
Here are some of the producers:
The Somerset Charcuterie http://www.somersetcharcuterie.com/ they believe in embracing traditional Italian and Spanish methods combined with some of the fantastic flavours and rich food culture of the West Country.
Wiltshire Chilli Farm http://justchillies.co.uk/ Based a short distance from Melksham, near Bath in the South West of England, The Wiltshire Chilli Farm consists of a group of culinary and horticulture enthusiasts who share a love of all things spicy.
Lilley’s Cider http://www.lilleyscider.co.uk/ These are amazing ciders sold in bags, so the cider stays fresh, with a light fizz for ages. HungryOwl enjoyed the Rhubarb Cider for nearly month all to herself. (FattyCat doesn’t like Rhubarb or Cider, so it was all mine!)
