Ciabatta bread
On May 9, 2021 by HungryOwlNot having made bread since I was at school several decades ago and having that bread turn out like a brick, I have steered well clear of making anymore.
However recently I have been making flatbreads and so decided to try making a Focaccia. Then lost my bottle a little and decided to try a Ciabatta bread mix |

I decided to use half of the packet, so 250g with 150ml of water.
Knead for 10 mins – leave to rise for 20 mins – rub with olive oil and leave to rise again for 30 mins – the make in to rolls. However, I decided to try to make the dough in Focaccia. Divided the mix into 20 and kept the one plain. The second I added diced sundrired Tomatoes, hand full of chopped fresh Rosemary and 2 finely diced cloves of garlic – I pressed these into the surface of the dough. I think next time I will try and knead these into the dough before the dough starts rising. The bread cooks in 230 degree celsius oven for 20 mins. I will say this was successfull |
